Living out in the boonies does have its disadvantages. Sometimes we lose our phone lines or internet for a short period of time. This time, we lost internet for days!!!!! Yikes!
What was life like before we had internet? I’m guessing now that we had more time to lie around and relax. The internet does have a lot of benefits though.
I have some writing deadlines to take care of and don’t worry, I’ll be announcing the last Blogtoberfest winner soon.
Cutting My Cable Bill

I was livid when I opened my cable bill. Another increase!!?!!! It seems every few months I am paying more. To be honest, I have argued with myself about cutting the cable. If it wasn’t for the Noggin channel, I would have cut it long ago. I’m growing tired of waiting for the FCC to give us the ‘a la carte’ option so I finally decided to take the plunge.

Time management tips

Talk about a time management issue! I have figured out, much to my embarrassment, that I waste about 2.5 hours a day in front of the tv and at least an hour surfing the net aimlessly.
Time management tip #1: Turn off the TV. When we first moved into our house, we didn’t have TV or cable or anything but our computers and whatever DVD’s we bought.
