So Thankful!

Wednesday I took my daughter and some boys (from the ministry where we work) to school.  We drove through the drop off line and Alligator’s teacher was there waiting.  My window was down and Alligator hollered out to me.  I told her I loved her and she walked up the steps to the school.  Then one of the boys in the back said he couldn’t get his seatbelt undone.
I hopped out of the van and went to the back to try to help the boy get out of his seatbelt.  I didn’t have any immediate luck, so I asked one of the …read more

An Update on My Life

As most of you know, I will be moving soon.  I hope that you’ve enjoyed the great articles we’ve had from our guests.
As far as my life . . . My husband and I have been finishing up some home repair projects, packing, and decluttering.  We had a birthday party for the kids and we’ve been out of town twice in the last week at our new location.

Teaching our kids to slow down

Karen and I were talking back and forth about picking your own fruit yesterday and I got the notion that I needed to remind us adults about one of the most important things to teach our kids.  My DH and I are very guilty about not teaching our kids this one important thing and that is to slow down!  We let life get us so wrapped up in “stuff” that we forget to show our kids how to play under a pretend tent or pick fruit to enjoy ourselves.

7 Things About Me

I’ve been tagged again, this time by Tracee at Blog Fabulous.  I’m supposed to write 7 things about myself and then tag 7 people.  Here goes . . .
Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write their own blog with their 7 things as well as these rules. You need to tag 7 others and list their names on your blog. Remember to leave a comment for them letting them know they have been tagged and to read your blog.
1.  I was raised in a Christian home and have always strived to …read more
