Michaels is having another free family ”The Knack” event from 10 am-1pm this Saturday, April 18.  Kids will create their own bunny or spring chick for some sunny spring fun.  One page I read said that this was for all ages and another said that it was for ages 5-12.  Honestly, this looks like a very easy craft, so it may be for the younger ones too.

Michael’s just sent me an email with a printable coupon for 40% off.  The coupon requires a minimum purchase of $5.  These coupons are a great way to purchase things at a fraction of the cost.  Sometimes I use my coupons to get Crayola Wonder pads or other gifts for the kids.

Michaels has opened their 1000th store and they are celebrating by passing on savings to their customers.  The first 100 customers in every Michaels store on Sunday, September 14, will receive a rewards card valid for $5 off a purchase of $25 or more.  (This card is not valid with a coupon purchase.) There will also be other grand opening specials going on in the store.

Last week I told you that I am now a subscriber to the Sunday paper.  I subscribed because I am now a work-at-home mom and wanted to get the coupons in an effort to save more money on our grocery bill.

I love to go to Michael’s craft store.  They have so much that it looks like a candy store for the crafty.  But be careful.  Don’t go buying on a whim.  They have coupons every week in the paper.  So be careful to watch out for coupons.  Stay within yoru budget as well.  Don’t go shopping on an empty craft stomach.  You will spend more than you want to.  Go with a particular craft in mind or you will find all kinds of things that you really don’t need to spend your money on.  And save the big purchases for …read more
