There is a lake not too far from our new home. A few weeks ago, my husband took our son for a drive to look at the turtles. Thankfully, they didn’t get out of the car. When my husband opened the automatic slider on my son’s door, my son saw the alligator sitting there just a few feet away!!! Eeek!!! Enjoy the pics!

Whenever I have extra bread, cereal, or crackers to throw out, I like to put it in the yard for the animals. It doesn’t take long for the stuff to get eaten. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Welcome to Wordless Wednesday. This one will actually have words, because I want to tell you about our trip.
Friday we left the kids with my parents and spend a night away at Bald Head Island, NC. This was our first getaway in 3 years!
As you can probably tell from the pictures, it was really cold and overcast while we were there. We stayed at a bed and breakfast for the first time ever. It was so nice. Since it was off season, it wasn’t too expensive.
There are very few cars on the island (maybe 10). Everyone rides around in golf carts. The …read more

As a teacher, I am on the look out for cute, easy, and quick arts & crafts for my students. Here is one that I found this past weekend. I hope to find time to make this with my students this week. This is a simple ornament idea that you could do with your child. Perhaps they could make one as a gift for grandma and grandpa. Thanks to Dumb Little Man for the tip.

Who ever said that you should take your kids pictures at 1,3,6,9,12,18,and 24 months must have been a photographer. I have felt guilty about not keeping up with the tradition but I don’t have the $90 it takes every time I go to Sears. So today, we are going to the pumpkin patch and will use one of those to be her 18 month picture. I’ll let you see the results soon.

When my son was 6 months old I took him to get his pictures made. I soon realized how photogenic he was . . . and how much money he was going to cost me!!! It’s just so hard to turn down those sweet looks.
Since this encounter, I have learned about searsportrait.com. When you sign up at their site, you will receive special offers via email. Some of the recent offers include no session fee, free 8×10 or 10×13, and $2.99 portrait sheets.
P.S. This is a picture of my Sweetie, taken at Sears when he was 6 months old.
