What a nice evening

Turkey Butt had her first night in big girl panties and not pull ups. AND we didn’t have any accidents. YEAH!!! That will save us tons of money. I love this part of her growing up.
Looking for online coupons
I have had the best luck finding online coupons by simply searching the “item” and “coupon” on Google. It is worth a shot to get even more off of your online purchase since you will be paying for S&H, which I abhor! I recently found a 25% off coupon for Potty Patty Panties for Turkey Butt. Here is my search result and you can see that there were many sites to choose from. They are wonderful as they don’t leak and we aren’t having much luck with a very STUBBORN little girl and the potty. I consider her potty trained since she knows what to do. She just refuses some days and I will not keep buying pull ups for daytime. I will just do laundry every day.
But I regress… So if you want to find out if there are promo codes you can use online before you check out, go to Google and search your item or company and coupon. You will be surprised at the money you can save. Free shipping is usually the most common coupon you will find. Good luck!

I love Turkey Butt’s Potty Patty Panties. They are an all in one waterproof training pant. That way, I don’t have to use pull ups since she treats them like a diaper. I might have to do laundry every day but at least she will stop getting diaper rash from her pull up and maybe she will stop being so stubborn soon and can go to big girl panties. But I found a coupon online that gave me 25% off. So if you are in the need for potty training tools or waterproof training pants that are wonderful, use 25-off-newsletter in the coupon box for 25% off your order. And if your order is $50 or more, you can get free shipping.

I’m soooooooooo excited! Cuddlebug is finally potty trained!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!
He’s been peeing in the potty for quite a while and about a week ago, he finally figured out that it was ok to poo too. Yay! He’s only had about 3 accidents in a week’s time. Not bad, I think. We’re using our last package of diapers for night time, but he’s even staying dry at night! Hooray! Can you imagine all the money I’ll save by not buying diapers?

I have officially bought and will be putting Turkey Butt in training pants this weekend. The little boy she goes to day care with is also potty training so it is the perfect time. YEAH! But I am not going to buy any pull ups. I will be doing alot of laundry but she will get the hang of it faster if she feels it. I’ll keep you in the loop as to how it is going.
Infant potty training can be very frugal

My mom has been telling me about all the publicity surrounding infant potty training. I read the articles and am intrigued. I do, however, think it only works when you are able to stay home full time. I can’t imagine a single babysitter, even my perfect one, that will be willing to let your infant go without a diaper for any length of time. I do let Little Man go naked every once in a while to air out and Turkey Butt is doing well with the beginning stages of potty training. But the concept does save a ton of money with diapers. I spend on average of $80 on diapers for my kids each month. I can’t wait until Turkey Butt gets out of diapers! Little Man won’t be out any time soon but I see the end of the road for her.
YEAH! Potty training
I can’t believe that I wanted to wait until KM got used to the new baby before I wanted try potty training. Once again, my little angel has her own mind made up and now we are pooping in the potty at least half the time if not more often. Peeing will come eventually but for right now … hallelujah!

Top 10 Tips for Potty Training

Steve from Inside Fatherhood is asking for some potty training tips. We all know that diapers are not thrifty. I am looking forward to the day when I will no longer buy diapers! I thought I’d contribute some of my quick thoughts on the subject. Let us know if you have any thoughts of your own. I know that I certainly didn’t cover the topic completely, but here are some tips.
1. Start early. Begin taking your child to the bathroom at a young age. Some people disagree with this, but oh well. I started taking my toddler to the bathroom recently, and putting him on the little potty seat. The first few times he just sat there, getting up and down, up and down. After a few days of this, he used the potty a few times. He even went in the bathroom, got the potty chair, and brought it to me. We set him on it and he peed in the potty. It was a great moment. So, we’re obviously praying that he will be easier to potty train than our first child.
2. Buy potty books . . . and several of them. If you’re
looking for a way to get your child to sit on the potty, then potty books are the answer. They’ll sit and listen to a story and of course the books about using the potty are appropriate. Just make sure you get several different ones because reading the same story over and over again will make you nuts.
