There are only 3 days left until the new year. This means that there are 3 days left to make donations to a non-profit organization for the 2006 year. Use this as an excuse to clean out your closets and your kid’s toys. Come on, you know they have too many toys, especially since Christmas just passed.
Don’t forget about monetary donations as well. Just make sure your check it postmarked on time. I’m sure your church, local Salvation Army, or other charitable organization would appreciate your donation.
Make sure you ask for a receipt for your donations.

With Halloween done and all that candy on sale… What do you do with it all? Our grocery stores still have candy on sale for $.50 – $1/bag. You can get candy for cheap and then give them to the Salvation Army to send to the troops overseas. Call your local Salvation Army to see if they are participating and help our troops feel loved.
