Sears 90% off sale

Some of you may remember the great savings I got at Sears last weekend.  I have received another email about their clearance sale.  This time the email says that they have up to 90% off, so I’m wondering if they’ve marked down the stuff even more.  It’s worth a shot.  If you’re looking for a thrifty way to buy clothes for next winter, then I’d suggest stopping by Sears.

Thrifty Deals at Sears

Yesterday, I wrote about the 3 day sale at Sears.  Well, today I had time to go back and shop a bit.  I bought more shoes for the kids and me.   I’m glad I went to the children’s section.  Here’s what I got for $19.32:

  • 2 sweaters
  • 2 hooded sweatshirts
  • 2 hooded jackets
  • 1 long-sleeved shirt
  • 1 pair of mittens
  • 1 hat and mittens set

I think my little boy has most of his fall and winter clothes now.  My daughter could use some things.  I plan to go to some yard sales this summer and find those.  I hope you’ll have time to stop by Sears this weekend.

3 Day Sale At Sears

I just received an email about a 3-day sale at Sears.  One of their deals is that they have their clearance shoes buy 1 get 1 free.  The sale is Friday through Sunday.  You may want to stop by the store or shop online to see what else you can find.

Later, Friday evening:

We only had about 20 minutes to shop at Sears tonight, but I got 6 pairs of shoes for $25.  Yay!!!!  Here’s a picture of some really cute shoes I got my daughter.  These were $9.99.  I got 2 pairs of these, 1 for my little girl and 1 for my friend’s daughter.  So, I guess you could consider these $5 per pair.

I didn’t have time to shop for women’s shoes, so we’ll probably have to go back tomorrow.  While walking past the women’s shoes I spotted $70 boots marked down to $9.99.  That means you can get 2 pairs for $9.99.  Awesome!

Thrifty Mommies Save On End Of Season Clearance

Don’t forget to be a Thrifty Mommy and save on the end of season clearance and sales.  I’ve already posted about the great deals at Belk.  Be sure to visit Belk, Dillards, Sears, and other department stores to get your sandals, shorts, capris, and other summer items for next year.

Earlier in the week I was shopping at Target and found some super summer savings.  They had summer pool hats, swimsuits, life jackets, and pool equipment 75% off.  I got the kids some pool hats for next summer.  I also saw that Home Depot had their patio furniture 70% off.  Why pay full price when you don’t have to?

Save Money on Your Child’s Portraits

My babyWhen my son was 6 months old I took him to get his pictures made.  I soon realized how photogenic he was . . . and how much money he was going to cost me!!!  It’s just so hard to turn down those sweet looks.

Since this encounter, I have learned about searsportrait.com.  When you sign up at their site, you will receive special offers via email.  Some of the recent offers include no session fee, free 8×10 or 10×13, and $2.99 portrait sheets.

P.S.  This is a picture of my Sweetie, taken at Sears when he was 6 months old.

Wal-Mart vs Sears portraits are a personal preference.

I love getting my little girl’s picture taken.  I have tried Wal-Mart and Sears.  Both places gave me great pictures although I have to admit that Sears looked a little better.  My problem is that I have lots of relatives that want 5×7’s instead of wallets.  So it serves me better to go to Sears and belong to the Smile Savers club.  I can get her picture taken every month if I wanted to and only pay $10 when I get them done.  That is cheaper than going to Wal-Mart and just getting a discount on my purchase.  I am really looking forward to getting her 1 yr pictures done when my mom comes for a visit.  I’m going to be in heaven.
