Starbucks Free Pastry Day (with purchase)

Starbucks is giving away a free pastry.  Purchase any beverage on the morning of July 21st and you’ll be given a free pastry.

Print out this invitation or show to a barista on your hand-held device at a participating U.S. Starbucks store on July 21, 2009 between open and 10:30 a.m.
As always, I recommend that you call your local store to see if they are participating rather than making a special trip for a promotional event.
Enjoy!

Free Starbucks Ice Cream

Starbucks is giving away free ice cream.  Through July 19, those with a Facebook account can sign up to receive a coupon for a free pint of Starbucks ice cream.  You can also send one to a friend and print off a $1 coupon for the ice cream.

Starbucks is giving away 20,000 of the free coupons each day, but only 800 per hour.  There is also a limit of one per household.  Hopefully, you won’t have any troubles getting one of the coupons.  I’ve tried about three times today to get one of the coupons, but that hour had reached …read more

20 Ways to Save on Coffee

20 Ways to Save on Coffee

I confess.  Within the past few years, I have become a coffee snob.  Honestly, it wasn’t intentional.  I promise.  I wish that my palette craved regular coffee because it’s a lot cheaper.  Unfortunately, that is not the case so I have learned to be frugal and save some money along the way.
1)  Brew your own coffee.  Uh huh.  Cut out the expensive $5 trips to Starbucks.
2)  Look online for recipes.  You may think that you can’t make coffee like the pros, but you can.  It’s really not that hard.  You just need the right ingredients.  Thrifty Mommy has some coffee recipes from …read more

Starbucks frappachinos at a reasonable price.

Starbucks frappachinos at a reasonable price.

My girlfriend is a Starbucks-aholic.  It’s my new word.  We just got a new Starbucks in town and she loves to go any time she is on that side of town.  But you know me.  I can’t afford to go more than for just a treat.  She however, has bought a blender and makes the frappachinos herself.  She said she paid for the blender after she made four of the drinks at home.  Now that is thrifty to me.
