All my life, my mom has treated my sunburns with only one treatment, VINEGAR! We all know how fabulous vinegar works. I love it for multiple reasons. But for sunburns, my mom would poor it over ice and wet a wash cloth with it. I hardly ever pealed and the sting would be gone in just a few minutes. Summer is coming soon and sunburns are inevitable. Ever go by the sunburn isle and glance at the prices of those “sure fire” sunburn cures? You could spend a fortune. When I was a little girl, my grandma would always have an aloe vera plant around for when we got any kind of burn. My mom would have a bottle of vinegar handy all summer. Turns out, according to the frugal guru, Pat Verreto, both are great. She has some other great ideas such as using cool tea and peppermint tea. Here comes the sunny season. READY … SET… GO!

I have talked about Vinegar before but it stands to reason that this gift from God should be acknowledged again. Ok, I’m just cheap and vinegar is multifaceted. You can use it for just about anything from cleaning to rust removal. I actually used it to remove plaster from my linoleum floor when we moved into our new house and had to plaster the walls.
