This week, I went to Martin’s and spent $29.66 on groceries. I’m trying to underspend because I’ll be heading up to the Shoprite Can Can sale for a big stock up shopping trip and will be spending more than my monthly grocery budget.
So, today I bought:
15 packs of Kraft mac and cheese
Goldfish crackers
80 tea bags
Canned veggies (Green Giant 2/$1 sale)
2 bags of chips
Cheese
A loaf of bread
A gallon of milk
The cheese and chips were splurges from the natural foods aisle. I need to stay away from that row of the store!
Anyway, if you have a big mac and cheese fan in your home, you’ll probably want to head for Martin’s for this sale. I got 3 five packs for a total of $5.97 after the sale and instant $3 savings for buying three products.
Now, more about the Can Can sale.
Every year in January, Shoprite has a huge canned good sale for a few weeks. Today start’s this year’s sale. Things like 12 cans of 1 lb. 12 oz. cans of tomatoes for $7.77 and four cans of kidney beans for $2 get me, and a whole lot of other shoppers, all excited. If you have a Shoprite near you, it is definitely worth the trip!
