Recently, I just finished taking Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University classes. Here’s a little something that Dave teaches. This should get you thinking.
If you will live like no one else, later you can live like no one else.

Amen!
Thanks for the comment Chris. Welcome to Thrifty Mommy.
I’ve certainly found this to be true. It’s not as hard as people think to get out of debt and live within your means. But it does take discipline.
I recently posted the first part of a Financial Peace University Summary that you might like. It’s a nice refresher on some of his principles like this.
Thanks for your site.
I’m with you on this one! I’ve read DAve Ramsey’s Financial Peace book and it’s true…we are trying to get out of debt now and people think I’m overly thrifty…but I am living like no one else now so that I can live like no one else later!!!
We completed baby step #1 and I’m getting to finish baby step #2. I have a feeling #3 is going to be hard! I need to discipline myself to put that money for bills into an account.
I got the savings all done and then BLAMO! We had a setback and I had to use a large chunk of it. I guess that I should be grateful – if it weren’t for that savings cushion I would have been in serious trouble!
Ive got to get to work on my blog…love your site!
