Thrifty Cheesy Potato Soup recipe

My sister gave me a great cheesy potato soup recipe that takes no time to get going and is relatively cheap to fix.

  • 3 cans chicken broth
  • 1 bag square frozen potato hash browns (usually called southern hash browns)
  • 1 can cream of chicken
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese

Boil the chicken broth and hash browns until tender, approximately 20 minutes. Add the other soups and cheese. Heat until mixed. Serve hot.

NOTE: The last time I made this, I added chopped ham and it was wonderful. You can also add broccoli or any other veggie of your choice to get a vegetable serving in your kids. Hope you like it. My Turkey-butt does.

My MIL made this for us the other day and it was AWESOME! It had more and different ingredients but I’m thinking we’ll have to try yours.
