Here is a seasonal food chart that tells you when fruits and vegetables are in season. This will help you to know when to get the freshest foods and probably the best prices too.
Did you know that you can grow potatoes in a barrel? This is so interesting. Learn how to save yourself some backbreaking work.
Check out my other blog, Little Fun; Little Learning. I have shown an easy and inexpensive way to make your own learning games. You can even get the kids to help you out.
I found this recipe for Olive Garden’s Pasta E Fagioli. It sounds healthy and easy to make too. I look forward to trying it soon.
My friend Jennifer at Declutter It! has some solutions for Lego storage. We just adopted a new system in our son’s room and it has helped out a lot with those little pieces. I’ll have to share it some time.
Another b5 pal, Maricar at Keeping the Castle, shows us a thrifty way to make stuffed toys. Now we have a use for all those fabric scraps.
Cindy at another b5 blog, Busy Family Meals, gives us an easy recipe for baked trout with mushrooms. I have some fish in the freezer (not trout), but I think this will be a good recipe to try. I’ve been venturing out and trying a lot of new recipes lately. Feel free to put links for your favorite recipes in the comments section.
Enjoy the browsing!

Thanks for the link Karen! Although, it’s your pal Jennifer not Julie – Julie quit Declutter It a while ago. I suppose it would help if we got her name off there
Jennifer: Oops, I didn’t know Julie was no longer there. I fixed the post. Thanks for letting me know.
Hi Karen! That trout recipe is great with any kind of fish, but it’s best with one of the oilier ones. We fish for trout in the spring and early summer, so it’s pretty easy for us to come by.
Love the seasonal food chart! Thanks!
