Time Management: Multi-tasking

I am all about multi-tasking.  You have to be able to multi-task to be able to keep up with kids . . . no matter how many you have.  So I have a confession to make.  I was really multi-tasking yesterday.  I decided to get on a weight loss regiment.  I have no extra time to do anything so I performed a very difficult task.  Just promise that before you click to see what I did, you won’t laugh until the end . . .

I figured I spend 10 minutes a day, 2-3 times a day pumping milk for my son.  Yep, you guessed it.  I got on my elliptical and pumped milk while walking.  Not to give you a visual but it was enormously funny!  I even had to laugh.  Now I think I have gone off the deep end.  I couldn’t go very fast for fear of losing my balance but I managed to get 4 oz and 110 calories burned on the elliptical in 10 minutes.  Not too bad.  Let’s see if I can do it again later.

Make sure you multi-task while being safe.  I could have fallen and spilled my milk ;) Now that would have been something to cry about.

Now you can laugh…

That sounds like something I would do. There is so little time to do everything I need to do. And pumping is so time consuming. That is funny!

I used to nurse & do dishes, vacuum, and other chores. Sometimes I used a sling, but mostly I didn’t! I wish I had thought of training & pumping. Would’ve saved me a few wet t-shirts!

  3. I always pump while doing something else – never working out though! I like to keep my hands free for that. I pump hile eating, getting meals ready, or typing (which is the easiest for me, since I can easily work on the computer one-handed).

Just another way that Kelly makes me laugh!

  5. jen says:

You are my hero. I could barely manage watching TV while pumping without spilling milk all over the place!

I didn’t say it was pretty! But I got enough for almost one bottle. Worked for me.
