The cover fell off, sure and it looks like it's been through a fire, but it could clean up and be working like it was 10 years younger in no time. That looks crazy old. Still, it's cool you used it to death. Stuff just doesn't seem to last that long anymore. It's not on it's last legs, but it is ugly and hard to hide. I've decided though, that it is time to upgrade for energy conservation sake. 20 years ago they were a lot less efficient and so I will get a new microwave. I'm a big believer in making things last and I don't replace things easily if they still work - which is why I also hold onto cars for a long time. Good luck with your new one. Wouldn't you know it but I haven't had one in about 4 years mostly b/c we move around so much and messing with each country's voltage is a real pain. RIP toaster oven!!
