The Internet can be a pain. It’s over-priced for high speed, has annoying glitches, and you really have to wade through some terrible crap sometimes to find what you need. That said, would I give it up for a swimming pool full of chocolate – NO.
The Internet, with all it’s issues, has changed how we do just about everything, and best of all it can save you money. Here are five ways that surfing can save you big bucks.

If you like to save money, then you’ll want to check out SavvyDollar. SavvyDollar is an online forum where others come to share couponing tips, sale and coupon match-ups, sales and bargains they have found, plan coupon swaps, and more.
Although SavvyDollar has information specific to North Carolina, it can still be a source of saving information for those in other states. I signed up for the website’s newsletter and this week I was emailed a huge list of triple coupon match-ups for Harris Teeter. The list was compiled by Smart Spending Resources.
Here’s a sample of the email I received:

In an interview the other day, Karen from MyBargainBuddy.com said that the best way she found for making a bit of extra money quick was to hold a yard sale. So, I thought we could benefit from a good list of yard sale and consignment related links.
Craigslist – This site is a great place to sell large items, but it is also an excellent way to advertise your yard sale absolutely free. The key to success with this seems to be posting your yard sale add the day before so that it isn’t pushed off the page by other ad …read more

For tips on how to shop at Walgreen’s or to check out the special deals each week, try some of these helpful sites:
Walgreen’s Hot Buys page is where you can find the $5 off $20 and $10 off $40 coupons that are available several times a month for Friday and Saturday purchases.

I was reading up on how to save money, when I saw a link that piqued my interest. It was a quiz that determines whether or not you are a compulsive shopper. I took it just to make myself feel better that there are really people worse off than I am, when it comes to spending. I should never have taken that stupid test. A lot of my answers surprised and disappointed me. Here is the test, as it reads on Bankrate:
Are you a compulsive shopper?
