Use Your Airline Miles or Else

May 17, 2007 by Karen Weideman

Do you have a lot of frequent flier miles that you haven’t used?  If so, you may want to spend some time using them.  Airlines are changing their expiration deadlines and these changes are not in your favor.  United and USAir now require that you use your flier miles within a year and a half, and Delta gives you two years.

The best way to use your miles without losing them is to go on an overseas trip.  I’ve never been out of the country, so feel free to pass your miles along to me.  lol

  1. Hi Karen,
We had a paltry number of frequent flyer miles –not nearly enough for a ticket–and ended up using them to get some magazine subscriptions. It’s pretty funny, actually, we have this huge pile of mags to read each month and not enough time to get through them. But hey, it’s better than letting them go to waste, right?
