Thrifty Mommy

Weddings on a shoe string budget.

When my husband and I got married, we paid for over half of it ourselves.  My parents helped some but most of it fell on our shoulders.  We did our best and had a candlelight service with around 350 guests with heavy hors d’oeurves .  Our total cost was around $5000.  The Boston Herald has some great ideas on  how to save money on a great wedding with all the trimmings without all the money.  Wish I had read it before I got married.
