What’s in your car?

Shannon over at Rocks in my Dryer is asking what is in your car?  So I had just cleaned out my car to go on a trip that we didn’t go on.  So here is my list:

  • Spare diapers
  • a new phone book
  • toys
  • shoes
  • wipes
  • mail, mail, and more mail
  • a windshield visor
  • milk jugs ( I make tea and take it to work so I don’t waste money on drinks)
  • a stroller
  • a birthday present for the boy at the sitter that I have to exchange
  • an activity mat to sell
  • pool toys
  • Turkey Butt’s CD’s
  • my purse
  • an empty McDonald’s bag
  • my Wal-Mart bag full of trash to be thrown out
  • a pen
  • a couple of mismatched socks
  • a phone charger
  • a couple of receipts
  • a pair of sandals
  • an organizer for my bathroom that I haven’t gotten out yet

I think that is it.  Not too bad considering.  I just happened to gather up all my trash last night and put it in a bag.  You can actually see the carpet, which is unusual for my van.  So there is my embarrasing list of junk in my trunk ;)

See you later,

I heard about this, but didn’t dare take on the challenge. My van is a mess right now and it would probably take an hour for me to write it all down. Each time I go inside the house, I carry stuff with me, but it’s never enough. About once a month, I just about flip out over all the stuff and then spend an hour cleaning out stuff that isn’t mine! Errrr! Ok, you got me started now.

I used to only clean out my car when the trash started spilling over into the front seat. Now that is sad.

lmao…i just read your list…too funny….at least you know you have everything with you should you need it!!! i have to keep mine very clean and organized so i don’t lose one of the kids in there!!! i have the following: 6 car seats (which means if i need to go somewhere with all 9 kids i need back up drivers)…in the very back i have one tote with emergency changes–diapers;undies; socks; various sizes of outfits; bibs;plastic bags; sippy cups and spare bottles; an extra can of formula. in another cooler type tote bag i keep emergency snacks and drinks; and a small portable potty seatfor those 3 year olds that like to use public toilets when out and about. in the front compartment i keep a folder with copies of all medical cards and custody papers(i’ve been know to forget these on emergency medical runs); diapers wipes and kleenex.

Mom of 14, you never cease to amaze me! I also didn’t know you were a single mom. What do you do for a living? I can’t imagine raising all those kids on 1 salary.

I don’t have a car but I have some of the stuff listed in my purse. I need a bigger one.
