Wonder where I have been?

January 31, 2008 by kellys
Filed under bathroom, odds and ends

I have been redoing my hall bathroom. I have pulled up the yucky stick tile and laid new stick tile down. The easiest way to get up old stick tile is to take an iron to it. I knew I would use that thing for something one day. HAHA. FYI (don’t laugh), I would advise wearing long pants as my knees got stuck to the subfloor and it was VERY painful to get them unstuck. I finished painting today but DH will have to fix the ceiling as I am not a very good painter. I will show you soon my newest creation once I have gotten all the finishing touches done. I am so glad to have the subfloor covered!

My bathroom is next. I was just practicing.

I’m very excited to see the pics! Are you a fan of stick tile? I’ve thought about using it, but I’m scared of bigger projects.

lol…i’m sorry, i know you said not to laugh and i’m VERY sorry for any pain you endured while stuck on your knees to the sub flooring…but when i read that…again, sorry…i truly LAUGHED OUT LOUD. you are just too cute!!!! i hope things are moving right along for you and can’t wait to see the pics!!!

Leslie, the stick tile was extremely easy to use and it has come a long way from the ugly tile it used to be so I would recommend it for a cheap and easy way to get a new floor.

Mom, It’s totally ok that you laughed. I have to admit, I laughed at my predicament as well until I started pulling my skin off the plywood.
