A Diamond is Forever

This weekend I was reading the Sunday magazines that come with the paper and read about how someone a wife gave her children a wonderful gift to remember him. I have heard about making rings before from the remains but not about a mother doing it and giving the rings to her 2 children to remember their devoted dad. She paid £1,900 to have his ashes turned into 2 gemstones saying “I wanted to find a way to keep his memory alive…it will be a little bit of their dad that will live on and perhaps bring comfort to them as they get older” ![]()
This is how it works….carbon is extracted from the remains and then heated to extremely high temperaturess, purifying it and turning it to graphite. This is then placed in a press that turns it into a diamond.
I wish I had known about this at the time of my loss, I would have definitely done it.

Hi, Anna
I am so touched by this gesture of love this mother had for her 2 children.
I am a widow with a little girl, who is 4. My husband died while we were expecting our first child. She has grown big enough to ask for her father from time to time. And it is difficult. She had never seen her father physically, and yearns for soemthing to touch, I guess.
Would you be able to give me the contact details of the person who can do this. I will be very grateful.
