There are some news stories that send shivers down my spine, there are some stories that make my heart for the grief that people are feeling.
Yesterday, in the UK Staff nurse Colin Norris was sentenced for 4 murders and an attempted murder. The reports says
“During his campaign of murder he believed he could kill with impunity, claiming four “frail and helpless” victims within six months by injecting them with lethal doses of insulin.” ![]()
Wow, this story really affects me as when you are in hospital – as I was at Christmas and due to go in again soon – you are in the hands of experts and trust in the care that you receive. Now I know that this is an exception and not the rule but I cannot imagine how the families cope with the grief. Their family member was taken away from them early, and so needlessly.
My heart goes out to the families, no words can help but let’s hope that we can help build a better society that ensures all of us are cared for in our hour of need. Do you sometimes wonder what makes people want to kill, want to take someone’s life? I know we will never really understand but we can understand the pain it causes..
