I have been touched by so many comments, especially to The Feeling of Emptiness post. I understand that feeling of emptiness, that feeling that you just don’t want to be part of this world without your loved one…but don’t give in to those feelings.
As I say, life is such a precious gift..one to cherish more than ever as we know how much death affects those around us. We have to hold on to that hope..we have to hold on to
H = Help is there in our friends and family who love us very much. We know the pain of loss, we know the joy of love….we need to remember that our friendship brings much joy to other people.
O =Our life is valuable and we can find comfort in providing value to others
P = Peace comes when you understand that there is no reason, other than the circle of life. Peace comes when you understand these experiences shape us as people, help make us who we are..peace comes when you accept that you cannot change what has happened only how you face your future.
E = Expect the unexpected that is what bereavement taught me.Even in grief you do not know what is around the corner…you may still find a companion, a new start in life that although you cannot imagine now, could bring you a contentment that is unexpected. Expect the best not the worst…at least you enjoy each moment a little more!
