Family – needs constant attention

When there is a death, it can bring people closer together. Mainly because they are concentrating on a shared grief, a shared emotion. They can relate to each other. That is what happened to our family when my dad died…it brought us closer, we talked more, we spent more time together. But as time has gone by I have noticed that there has been a tendency to drift again. Family is so important and it would be sad to let it drift again, so I invited my sister and mum
round for a meal. It was great we talked about dad, we talked about how his death has left a gap in all our lives and that we need to be there ffor each other.
My lesson here, is that grief can bring you closer which can be a positive aspect of bereavement, don’t let those old habits then start to resurface…you never know how much time you have with your family.
