Family vs Money

No contest for me – family will always be the most important thing. I would rather be penniless than ever fall out with friends or family after a death, over money. I am sad when I read at NYDailynews.com the following
“Two-headed cows, dead Elvis and space aliens built National Enquirer founder Generoso Pope Jr. a $418 million fortune, which he left to his wife Lois and six kids when he died in 1988.
But his widow and son Paul are now suing each other over the money, with the latest salvos involving Lois Pope’s multimillion-dollar effort to get a disabled-vets memorial built in Washington.”
First of all, I think of all the families who are grieving with no money, financial worries and no security. I can understand how that can cause stress and even arguments. But I feel sad when people are arguing over how many millions they should have…maybe that is just me.
Money can never replace love, money can never replace the hurt, money can never replace a family’s love….
