Grief – Sleep or no sleep

December 19, 2006 by Anna Farmery

One thing that I find amazing is that when you get into bed you struggle to sleep – your mind plays over the A glimpse into eternitybereavement and stops you from relaxing. Yet during a day you are tired, exhausted, devoid of energy. Sleep is so important to your recovery, to overcoming the depression. The way I have managed is by moving bedrooms, moving to a smaller one that has fewer memories. I also try and get into a routine each night, I do everything in the same order to try and trick my brain to know that after the routine it is time to sleep.
