Widows Quest

I Don’t Understand Society Anymore

July 4, 2008 by Anna Farmery

When you have suffered a death of someone close, you understand the value of life. You understand the immense pain a death causes and you understand how much we need to value those around us.

Yet in the UK each time I put on the news there is another young boy being stabbed to death. This week there has been Ben Kinsella and now Shakilus Townsend. Is it me or is violence becoming an everyday occurrence ? Is it me or has society created a culture offalling wall, bricks devaluing life?

The death of a child is the most painful and when you add violence to that grief I just don’t know how I would cope…..Somehow we need to change the glory of death to the glory of life, I just don’t know how…
