sat on your sofa with a cup of coffee on a Saturday night with no one to call! Happiness is….. realising that without the love of your life, this is exactly where you want to be and knowing that he will be smiling at the state of my pyjama’s!
Thank you for this site, I just found it and read your postings from the last month and found so many good things and things I needed to find! My husband died on July 3 and the last four months are a blur of sorts, we had no children and after 25 yrs of marriage … I am just a bit lost but know I must go on. Sites like this help me and your description of Saturday night is exactly right!

So glad you found this site. It is wonderful and really helps. My husband died just a month before yours. I was married 43 years. I am blessed with three children and seven grandchildren. They really help but I still have my lonely Saturday nights.
I have joined a widows and widowers group in my town. Maybe there is one where you live. It really helps to talk to people with similar experiences. In the meantime keep reading Widows Quest. Anna is wonderful and all the others who contribute their thoughts are very helpful. Just know that you are not alone.
