I maybe grieving, I may have lost my way
But I am still me, I am still the woman I was
I maybe lost and fearing I can never find that me again
But I am still me and I am on my way to being me again
I maybe struggling at times to cope

Affirmations are something that I believe can help you through depression. Affirmations are positive statements that I read before I go to sleep and as I wake up in the morning. As you know I am trying to lose weight and I am doing well with 10lbs lost so far….but as I have started the diet I have felt down. I think it is because the person that I want to notice isn’t here, and that is wrong. I should value myself, want to do it for me. So I have written these

Regaining your positive outlook

I have used affirmations for a few years to help my lack of confidence. Affirmations are sentences – usually about 6-10, are sentences that you write down and read them every day. The sentences are a way of speaking back to that inner voice that is being negative!
Each sentence starts with “I”, and is written in the present tense as if the goal to which we aspire has already been achieved. The key is to use emotive words so here is one of mine
“I am delighted that I am comfortable at social events and have made many new friends”
