Is Death natural?

Death is something that I struggle to comprehend, I mean if you are not lviing what happens? I know people with faith have answers but somehow I struggle to come to terms with the possibilities. I was reading the other day this

Death is natural. Nothing natural can be detrimental.
Death is rest. Rest is strength in disguise for a further adventure.

At the present state of human evolution, to conquer Death may be an impossibility.
But to overcome the fear of death is not only practicability, but inevitability.

Death is normally the sign that the soul, under the particular circumstances,
has exhausted the possibilities of its progress in a particular body.

This is an excerpt from Sri Chinmoy and Eternity Breath. I am not sure whether I fear death, I am sure that it is a natural part of living…..but maybe that last paragraph serves my hope – that death is not a cutting short of life.

Don’t Give Up On Me Baby!

I had a dream last night – well in the 20 minutes that I slept! – and although I can’t remember it, these words came to me over breakfast

There are days that seem so dark and so bare

Simply due to your smile not being there

I feel like giving in and letting the pain take me away

Then I realise what words you would say

You would smile and hold me close to your heart

And say “Love doesn’t die because we are apart

We were lucky to find each other and have no more tears

I will guide from above through all of your fears

And please don’t give up and let our dreams die

Be happy, be strong knowing I will be right by

The last thing I want is for you to give in to that pain

Just hold on to our memories to keep yourself sane

Waiting till the day when you come back to me

And we are together, forever…but most of all naturally“

There will be a time when maybe our love will be reunited…but that will be when the time is right and when natural forces kick in to my life. The one thing I can do is live out those dreams, live them knowing he is deep within my heart, living them with me.

Christmas Day – Widows Presents of Belief and Birth

I know many widows and widowers struggle on this day of the year. It is naturally a day when you miss those people in your family and friends who are no longer with us. When you think about that sense of loss, although it is painful it is also a wonderful thing….it means

We have been give the greatest present of all – that feeling of having loved and been loved.

On a day that signifies belief and birth, maybe we should have our own

Belief = Belief in the eternity of love. Love will conquer the pain, because love is stronger than pain. It lives through life and death……it just allows pain in every now and then to show us how much we have loved!

Birth = When a chapter of one part of your life ends, it is just a chapter. As one life fades, another begins and is capable of shining as brightly as before. We will not lose the experiences and love that has been with us in the first chapters as that has shaped who we are, we will only honor their memory if we find a way of sharing our love with the world.

So today I want to offer you two presents -

the belief that through widows quest you will find the strength to move from coping with the pain, to living and loving again

the knowledge that the true circle of life brings death followed by life, and through widows quest I have been given hope through the birth of many friendships….through pain, new friendships are born.
