The Spirit of Lance Armstrong

Lance Armstrong has shown us all how to conquer our fears, how to face what life has thrown at us and how to beat pain as well as cancer. I have been touched by the pain people are feeling over these weeks as anniversaries of our loved ones death appear on the calendar.
I saw this quote from Lance Armstrong and thought it might helps us all realise that although the pain of loss is always there, that pain is like a flowing roller coaster. We have a choice…we can give into that pain, or we can fight it and use …read more

The True Tragedy In Grief

Death is tragic, the loss of a loved one is one of the most painful emotions that anyone can suffer…but do you know what the real tragedy can be?
I think the real tragedy is when we don’t use our bereavement to grow as a person, when we don’t use the loss of a loved one to think about our life. A Choice with Grief

As many of you may know, my day job is working for a company called The Engaging Brand and in that role I was lucky enough last year to meet a wonderful blogger and podcaster called Christopher Penn who has just written a beautiful post on grief and how we can either let it destroy us or use it as motivation to live a full life. The post contains some wonderful words from Matthew Ebel
“Seems I lost my my status quo.
I looked up one day, you were pulled away
now I ain’t got much to show.
Where you’ve gone to I don’t …read more
