Here are 10 ways I have found, feel free to add to these ideas
- Invite friends round and hold a dinner – your spouse’s favourite food – and relive memories.
- Create a memory book – with special photos, places
- Make a donation in their name
- Visit a place that was special to both of you and have a picnic
- Write a letter to them, telling them about how the family is growing
- Volunteer to help others
- Listen to uplifting music
- Keep a special jumper and wear it while watching TV
- Talk about them to others
- Create a living memorial such as a garden or a tree planting
