The Sea of Grief

I was at the coast this weekend – I love watching the sea. In many ways grief resembles the sea
- It ebbs and flows….somedays better than others
- The power of the wave of grief can be crippling
- The expanse of the sea mirrors the loneliness of the bereaved
- The different colours illustrates the different moods that you can feel – from depression to coping.
- The tides show that for each death that happens life goes on….one thing is for certain, that for each loss of life, there will be a birth that gives hope.
I love the sea, I find it is relaxing and soothes my thoughts…

Wow. Its so true that with death a new life comes forth. My husband died early on a Tuesday morning and by 5pm I had the beautiful gift of a new granddaughter. So on that day of such pain and heartbreak we also experienced the joy of a new life starting. I look at my granddaughter and I know somewhere up above her grandpa is watching over her.
What a wonderful thought and I am sure is true. I hope the new life also helped you to focus on how you still had love to give, still had a reason for living….
What a great story, thank you for making me smile today
