Yesterday I wrote about What is the Meaning of Life? Today I am thinking that hope is such an important of finding that happiness in life
H= Having life goals that you strive for![]()
O= Owning the thought that you are in control of your life and that you can define your own happiness
P= Putting an emphasis on the future. The past is memory and makes you who you are, the future is yours to create.
E= Expectations that are realistic and yet stretching. I think sometimes we can expect too much or even not enough. Getting the balance is important in finding the happiness that we desire.
Again I throw it open…what do you think? What would you H.O.P.E acronym stand for?

recently widow. My life will never be the same no matter what but greived make me stronger.
Samantha…I agree grief makes you stronger, and that life will never be the same…I suppose it is up to us to determine whether life will be better?
Dear Anna, I have been reading your posts now for about 1 month. My husband died May 19th, 2008. We were married only 14 months and 2 days. I had been single for 15 years and raised 4 children mostly by myself. We were both so happy to have found each other and completed each others lives so beautifully. I am struggling to find my balance again. I loved this man and I loved being married. He died unexpectedly. I dont want to be alone again. Thankyou for your website. I look forward to it every day to find hope.
Oh Judy that is so nice to hear. It is also great that you leave a comment as it is lovely to know that my ramblings are helping!
Your grief is still very raw, I remember the pain so vividly although many of those days were more about numbness than pain. You had such a short space of time, I am so sorry for that….although despite the hurt I am still grateful for the time we had, I wouldn’t have not wanted to have loved. Keep talking and reaching out on the blog, we are in this together, we will help and support each other.
Love to an extremely strong woman – how did you raise 4 children on your own!! – that strength will see you through again, and help that heart of yours love again. x
