I wrote earlier this month about using affirmations to help you overcome the grief and negative thinking. One person wrote and said that she started that day, as she was at an incredibly low ebb and was desperate to find a way out of this emotional darkness. She wrote just 3 and has read them 3 times a day…I have missed out the personal words but they started
I forgive myself for…..
I am free to find a new happiness, and learn to love again
I deserve all that is good in life, and I enjoy the company of others.
She says that although the darkness is still there, she believes that she is feeling more positive. Speaking them out loud seemed strange, she said but just saying the words was like committing to a brighter future and accepting responsility for overcoming the grief. I am glad that I have helped even one person, as I understand the pain myself.
