I saw this quote which is attributed to Widow, Aged 55
“He didn’t take all I had, I didn’t give it outright…it was a loan. It’s time for me to take it back now.”
When we fall in love, we give our love willingly and we enjoy the closeness and relationship that we grow. But the quote above illustrates that when we love we don’t give our heart away, we allow them to touch our heart. It may seem during our grief that we somehow have lost our heart…..but really it is still there beating and the mourning process is about reclaiming your feelings and your heart.
